Zulte Waregem avait recruté Opoku à l'été 2024 alors qu'il jouait avec les Great Corinthians, au Ghana. Champion de Challenger Pro League et promu dès sa première saison, Opoku a disputé 62 rencontres depuis son arrivée au Essevee. Il a inscrit 13 buts et délivré autant de passes décisives.
