Sur le circuit de Matterley Basin, seul le Néerlandais Glenn Coldenhoff (Fantic) l'a devancé sur la ligne de 1.128 seconde. Le Français Romain Febvre (Kawasaki) a terminé 3e à 12.392 secondes et le Néerlandais Jeffrey Herlings (KTM), 4e à 15.484 secondes. Ce dernier s'était imposé dans la course de qualification samedi.


Brent Van doninck (Honda) a franchi la ligne d'arrivée en dixième position, Jago Geerts (Yamaha) a abandonné après cinq tours et s'est classé 24e.


Au classement du championnat du monde, Febvre mène avec 559 points devant Coenen (532) et Coldenhoff (395 points). Geerts est 13e (184), Van doninck 21e (69).


La deuxième manche débute à 18h10.
