En huitièmes de finale, Gilis-Coll rencontrera l'Egyptienne Sana Ibrahim (PSA 17), victorieuse 11-9, 13-11, 4-11, 11-9 de sa compatriote Farida Mohamed (PSA 16).


La sœur de Nele, Tinne Gilis (PSA 6/N.5) s'était également qualifiée pour le troisième tour, dimanche. Au tour suivant, elle rencontrera l'Anglaise Saran Nghiem (PSA 56).
