Le Suisse de 32 ans s'est imposé en solitaire privant les sprinters d'une explication finale. Il a devancé le Japonais Yukiya Arashiro (Solution Tech-Vini Fantini), 2e et l'Australien Samuel Jenner (Wuzhishan Scom MVMT), 3e, qui complète le podium.

Simon Pellaud décroche sa troisième victoire en carrière après un succès d'étape au Tour de Thaïlande en mars et un autre au Tour de Hainan en 2018.
