WTA Monterrey - Elise Mertens éliminée en quarts de finale

Mertens, 29 ans, avait remporté deux des trois précédents affrontements avec Schnaider, 21 ans.


Diana Shnaider rencontrera, pour une place en finale, soit l'Américaine Alycia Parks (WTA 71), soit la Slovaque Rebecca Sramkova (WTA38).


Le tournoi de Monterrey constitue la dernière préparation à l'US Open, qui débute dimanche. Mertens y affrontera l'Américaine Alyssa Ahn (WTA 717) au premier tour.
