Vuelta - Organisatie geeft wildcards aan twee Spaanse teams

De namen van de 21 andere geselecteerde teams lagen al vast. Het gaat om de achttien ploegen uit de WorldTour (met onder meer Alpecin-Premier Tech, Lotto Intermarché en Soudal Quick-Step) en tweededivisieploegen Cofidis, Pinarello-Q36.5 en Tudor, die zich rechtstreeks hadden geplaatst.

De 81e editie van de Ronde van Spanje begint op zaterdag 22 augustus in Monaco en eindigt op zondag 13 september in Granada. Dan kennen we de opvolger van de Deen Jonas Vingegaard.
